The Virdra Launcher installs, updates and launches every Virdra Studio app from one place.

1. Download the Virdra Launcher from Downloads on virdrastudio.com and run it.

2. Sign in with your Virdra Studio account.

3. Open Apps. Every app your licence includes has an Install button; the others show View plans.

4. Once an app is installed, start it with Launch. Apps also start from Windows, even when the launcher is closed.

5. Open Updates to keep every app current.

VirdraBiome is free with every account, so you can install it as soon as you sign in.

Everything in the Store opens in Virdra Studio apps: presets, packs and plugins.

1. Open the Store on virdrastudio.com, or the Store page in the launcher.

2. Pick an item. Free items and items your licence includes are ready to install; paid items are a one-time purchase.

3. Choose Install with the launcher. The item goes into VirdraCommon, where every app finds it.

4. No launcher on this computer? Choose Download instead.

Plugins you install appear in each app under Plugins… in the Edit menu.

Every Virdra app reads the same folder, so a preset saved in one app is there for the others.

• Shared\Presets: presets several apps use, such as colour ramps

• <App>\Presets: presets for one app, one folder per kind

• <App>\Examples: the examples each app ships

• <App>\Projects: your projects

Store items install into a Virdra Library folder inside these, one folder per item, so they can be removed cleanly. Your own files can go anywhere in VirdraCommon too.

To open it, go to the launcher’s Settings and choose Open next to VirdraCommon. It lives in %APPDATA%\VirdraStudio\VirdraCommon.

A seat is one computer. Signing in on a new computer activates it and uses a seat.

1. Open Devices in your account on virdrastudio.com to see every activated computer.

2. On a computer you no longer use, choose Deactivate. That frees the seat.

3. Sign in on the new computer to activate it.

Need more seats on a subscription? Change the seat count in Billing & seats.

1. In the app, open Help → Report a bug…

2. Write the steps from opening the file to the problem, and what you expected instead.

3. Choose Send to support. The report adds the version, system and GPU details and the recent log.

4. After a crash, choose Open diagnostics folder and keep the newest crash files. The report tells you when there are some.

Offline? Choose Save report… and email the file to support@virdrastudio.com.

Open Help → Keyboard & Mouse Shortcuts… in any app to see all of its shortcuts. In apps that use it, F1 opens the same list.

1. Open Plugins… from the Edit menu.

2. Installed lists your plugins, Updates shows new versions, and Store shows plugins you can get.

3. Each plugin has one switch. Turning it off in one app turns it off in every Virdra app.

Plugins that run Python need the Python runtime: in the launcher, open Apps and choose Install on Python runtime.

A VirdraLand terrain is a graph of nodes that ends in an Output node.

1. Add a Mountain node from the Generate nodes.

2. Add a Landscape Evolution node from the Simulation nodes and connect Mountain into it.

3. Connect Landscape Evolution into Output.

4. Change Landscape Evolution’s settings and check the result in the viewport.
